Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 6, 2026 · Last updated: July 6, 2026

1. Introduction

Sentinel Tech Solutions ("Sentinel Tech," "we," "us," or "our") is a technology services company based in New Jersey, USA. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data when you visit sentineltechsolutions.io (the "Site") or contact us through it, and the rights available to you — including the rights provided to New Jersey residents by the New Jersey Data Privacy Act (NJDPA, N.J.S.A. 56:8-166.4 et seq.).

We keep this simple on purpose: we collect only what you choose to send us through our forms, plus limited technical and analytics data described below. We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for targeted advertising, and we do not use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

2. Personal Data We Collect

Data you provide to us

  • Contact form: your name, company, email address, phone number (optional), the service you are interested in, and your message.
  • Careers form: your name, email address, the position you are applying for, a link to your resume/CV, an optional portfolio or LinkedIn URL, and your cover letter.
  • Team contact form: your name, email address, subject, and message when you write to a specific team member.

Data collected automatically

  • Usage and analytics data: pages visited, time on page, approximate location, and device/browser information via Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies. IP addresses are anonymized in our analytics configuration.
  • Technical data: our hosting provider (Vercel) and the third-party services listed in Section 5 receive your IP address and browser information in standard server logs when your browser requests content from them.
  • Preferences stored on your device: your cookie-consent choice and its date, and your light/dark theme preference (stored in your browser's local storage).

We do not collect or request sensitive data as defined by the NJDPA — such as government identifiers, financial account or payment card information, precise geolocation, health information, biometric or genetic data — and our forms have no fields for it. Please do not include sensitive data in your messages.

3. How and Why We Use Your Data

We use personal data for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request
  • To evaluate job applications submitted through our careers form
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including understanding how visitors use it
  • To maintain business records and comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal data, do not process it for targeted advertising, and do not use it for profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Cookies & Similar Technologies

  • Essential storage (always on): we store your cookie-consent choice and theme preference in your browser's local storage so the Site functions and remembers your settings.
  • Analytics cookies (optional): Google Analytics loads, and sets its cookies, only after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics run.

To change or withdraw your choice at any time, clear this Site's data in your browser settings (the consent banner will reappear on your next visit), or use your browser's cookie controls to block or delete cookies.

5. How We Share Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We disclose personal data only to the categories of service providers below, who process it on our behalf to run the Site:

  • Email delivery (useSend): form submissions are transmitted through the useSend email service to deliver your message to our inbox. This includes everything you enter in a form.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics): usage data as described in Section 2, only with your consent.
  • Fonts (Google Fonts): our fonts are served from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser information when a page loads.
  • Portfolio previews (Microlink and WordPress.com): when you open our portfolio showcase, preview images are fetched from these screenshot services, which receive your IP address as part of the request.
  • Hosting (Vercel): the Site is hosted on Vercel, whose infrastructure processes standard server logs.

We may also disclose personal data to professional advisors or authorities where required by law, to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition — in which case this policy would continue to apply to previously collected data.

6. Data Retention

  • Form submissions are delivered to us as email and kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry or application and to maintain reasonable business records, after which they are deleted.
  • Job application materials are retained for the duration of the hiring process and a reasonable period afterward, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' data-retention settings.
  • Your consent and theme preferences remain in your browser until you clear them.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), least-privilege access to our systems, and multi-factor authentication. You can read more about our practices on our Security page. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your New Jersey Privacy Rights

Under the NJDPA, New Jersey residents have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal data and access it
  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal data
  • Delete personal data we hold about you
  • Obtain a copy of your personal data in a portable, readily usable format
  • Opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects — note that we engage in none of these

To exercise any of these rights, email us at ben@sentineltechsolutions.io with the subject line "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity using information we already hold (such as the email address you submitted a form from). Exercising your rights is free of charge, and we will respond within 45 days; if an extension is reasonably necessary, we may take up to 45 additional days and will tell you within the original window.

9. Appeals

If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by replying to our response (or emailing ben@sentineltechsolutions.io) with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." Within 45 days we will inform you in writing of any action taken or not taken, with an explanation. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs in the Office of the Attorney General to submit a complaint at njconsumeraffairs.gov.

10. Children's and Teens' Privacy

The Site is a business-to-business website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, consistent with the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA); if we learn we have done so, we will delete it. We do not sell personal data or process it for targeted advertising or profiling for any visitor of any age, including consumers aged 13 to 16 for whom the NJDPA would require opt-in consent.

11. Visitors From Other Jurisdictions

While this policy is written with New Jersey law in mind, we extend the same rights — access, correction, deletion, and portability — to all visitors, regardless of where you live. If you contact us from outside the United States, note that our systems and service providers are located in the United States and your data will be processed there.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and post a notice on the Site before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Contact Us
